Health & Safety Information

All bedrooms and the living room are fitted with fire rated doors. There are mains wired smoke and heat alarms on each floor. Two fire extinguishers are located in the lower ground floor kitchen and the living room. A fire blanket and first aid kit are also to be found in the kitchen area. Please familiarise yourself with their location and use on arrival.

The sash windows on the top floor bedrooms open from the top down only.

The fire exits are either through the front door, or up the steps from the outside courtyard, through the alleyway and onto College Precincts.

The property is over 4 floors, so please be careful on the stairs, and don’t leave objects on any steps or landings which could form a trip hazard; especially during the night-time. The stairs outside to the alleyway can get slippery when wet.

Wood for the stove can be found in the shed outside. Use firelighters and kindling to start the fire. Always keep the glass door closed when using the stove, as excessive smoke may trigger the alarms. Please don’t touch the stove, as it gets very hot when in use and remember to use the glove provided when adding more wood.

The owner of 1 College Precincts does have access through the alleyway and down the steps to his property; although he uses it infrequently for property maintenance purposes.

Please close all windows and lock all doors when not in the house.

The property is non-smoking throughout.

No hen or stag parties can be accommodated.

Please note: no candles are permitted.

We regret we can take no pets.

Amazing and beautiful house in a great location. The host was really helpful and got back with any questions quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Great location

This was in a great location and this house is an amazing historic place with all the comforts of home. Guy has done a great job melding the historic with the modern as well as creature comforts. The house is right next to an amazing 8th Century Cathedral, the High street and a 10 minute walk to the train station. Checking in and out were a breeze. We hope to return this summer. Well done Guy.

Worcester is a great city to visit!

Worcester is a great city to visit and this house, under the shadow of the Cathedral and Edward Elgar's boyhood home is a very special place. The house is very well and thoughtfully equipped. We lacked nothing. Guy the owner responded immediately to any query and we are so glad we participated in his Worcester town guided tour. The city is central to a number of National Trust properties and gardens as well as being close to the Malvern Hills for walking. All in all a great experience and highly recommended.

An amazing house to stay in, especially if you are a music fan!

An amazing house to stay in, especially if you're a music fan! Guy made sure we had everything we could possibly need and more. Can highly recommend- especially if you're involved with something at the cathedral - there's nowhere closer!!
